Ventures is a highly-interactive economic game set in space. Players
are investors in space-based corporations that compete for dominance
over a multitude of planets. Corporations spend their invested capital
to expand their network and purchase spaceships, which in turn increase
the company value and shareholder dividends. By exploring alien planets,
corporations can gain access to additional technologies to give them an
edge in the space race.
Corporations may elect to sign The Agreement with the aliens, accepting a one-time special dividend to all shareholders in exchange for a promise of peace. However, the more corporations that sign this lucrative pact, the more likely it is that the aliens will double-cross them and take over all company assets.
At the end of the game, the player with the most money wins.
