The first Valley Expansion, Spire in Bloom, brings the
village of Spire into focus, turning what was originally a single
location on the Valley map into multiple pivotal locations, each
connected by an inventive new path type, the Thoroughfare.
A stark contrast to the experience of exploring the wilderness, the
Thoroughfare set presents a fresh take on the mechanical ecology
introduced in the core game. In place of overgrown thickets and prowling
wolhunds, you’ll find bustling markets and pertinacious peddlers. Local
townsfolk and rambunctious teens introduce entertainingly emergent
complications to your journey as you explore the village, and new
characters and storylines await at each new location.
Within you’ll also find new cards for the Lone Tree Set, the Valley Set,
and the General Set (which includes eight baby animals, like the
adorable bearsloth cub and the cuddly hydraworm spawn).
