"The year is 1938, and an archduke of the Holy Roman Empire lies dead in the streets of Paris, his blood cooling to the cries of the revolution, and the terrible engines of war waking once more. The Great Powers make ready for battle on land, at sea, in the air, and through the aether to distant worlds. After nearly a century of relative peace, humanity collectively breathes deep before the plunge. Alliances are called upon both known and secret, pacts are declared, and mobilization is ordered. Before the fated year draws to a close fighting takes place on eight continents and three worlds. This will be a war like no other seen before. Rapid technological progress, once hailed as the saviour of mankind, now bends back and bites its maker. Machines of war, at once marvelous and horrible, claw their way through ragged skies and ruined ground to lay their hate upon their enemies. The skies bleed the lifeblood of empires, the worlds burn in the fires of revolution. A new order is being cast, the Great War its crucible, and through it all, humanity Marches on."

It takes a tremendous amount of skill, grit, and luck to survive on the battlefields of the Great War. Amidst the streaking bolts of energy and bullets whipping by, some find their footing and rise to the occasion. The veteran infantry of the United States are those who have seen extensive combat and lived to tell the tale.

Through these experiences they've accumulated valuable knowledge along with new or specialized equipment allowing them to perform more effectively on the battlefield. For the trenches of the Marne: the M1897 Trench Gun, for those lucky enough to get issued it: the A16 Assault Rifle. With bazookas for tanks and Heat Rays for stubborn armored infantry, they're prepared for all situations.

These veterans are often chosen to serve in command squads, where their experience serves to help keep officers alive under fire. Anchored by flagbearers and patched up by their attached medics, they have a striking effect on those around them.

This box includes four frames containing a total of 12 hard-plastic infantry figures for the United States of America in Marcher: Empires at War. It includes options to equip a squad with trench guns or A16 Assault Rifles, along with bazookas, Heat Ray guns, officers, and specialists. This box includes 25mm bases.
