Application

*ALWAYS APPLY TRANSFERS TO A WHITE SURFACE*

1) Cut out the transfer as neatly and as close to the design as possible using a sharp craft knife

2) Peel off the top plastic layer and turn the transfer over so you are looking at the paper backing of the transfer and stick the sticky surface side to the appropriate quarter of the horse

*PLEASE NOTE IF YOU MISPLACE THE TRANSFER BEFORE WETTING IT YOU CAN PEEL IT OFF AND PLACE IT AGAIN MANY TIMES IF NEEDED*

3) Once the transfer is in place press it down firmly and you can use the back of a brush or cocktail stick to really work the transfer into the creases and folds of the model. You can be very firm at this stage

4) Once the transfer has been worked into place simply apply water with a brush and the backing paper will slide away in a few seconds leaving the transfer in place

*Sometimes you may find and air pocket under the transfer causing a raised blister of bubble. Simply prick this area with a pin or the sharp point of the knife and press firmly with your thumb or fingers and this will flatten the area*

5) To hide the transfer edge you can use various methods. Build up the paint around the edges of the design, or use a few coats of gloss varnish to help build up the thickness at the edges and then paint around once dry.
