Are you a referee looking for a gritty science-fiction setting? Do your players crave mayhem?
About the book:
It's Cepheus Engine compatible, and also works with Traveller. Fans of the classic, little black books will appreciate the compact format. Each issue is rich in background, maps, non-player characters and scenarios. With content that's tightly written and easy to digest, referees can start adventuring with minimal preparation.
Scoundrels of Brixton SD1: Under A Hard Sun includes:
A DETAILED SOLAR SYSTEM
Concise background explains how the Brixton system was first colonized, with a detailed map of the system, subsector, and the main planet, Deluvia. Referees will also learn about the floating metropolis, Sky City, smaller settlements, key players, even the politics and economy, everything needed to bring this setting to life.
CRIMINAL ORGANIZATIONS
There's five crime outfits with nefarious agendas. These factions can become allies or enemies. Each entry includes background, strengths and weaknesses, stats and information for playable NPCs, and a short adventure scenario, to draw player characters into Brixton's criminal underworld.
PLOT HOOKS
In addition to the faction scenarios, six others are scattered among the crime-laden districts of Sky City, the hard-scrabble planet Deluvia, the mysterious, harsh worlds of Veronca, Buwei, Unov, and the outer belt. Rife with crime, corruption and danger, each scenario gives the referee flexibility to customize the adventure, while testing the wits and will of their players.
SHADY CHARACTERS
A total of TWENTY NPCs to harass, befriend, or otherwise complicate the lives of player characters. Along with stat blocks, each NPC has background about their personality, goals and weaknesses. There's also referee's guidelines to create new NPCs based on where they're encountered in the Brixton system.

Digest–sized, stapled saddle-stitched zine, 40 pages, black and white interior.
Scoundrels of Brixton injects player characters into a seedy civilization in the far future. A role-playing environment where there's no shortage of action and moral dilemma. A setting tailored for space-going heroes driven to fight injustice, or interstellar villains seeking to launch a criminal empire.

It's also perfectly suited to all you Mothership (link opens in new tab/window) fans out there. The mechanical bits will need to be tweaked, but your system's pretty handy with that sort of thing, isn't it?
